Ready for the wet season

Heavy rain, cyclones and fast-growing vegetation are hard on FNQ roofs. Dated images help owners, managers and trades plan ahead.

FAQ

Common questions

Is this a building inspection?

No. We provide high-resolution aerial visual data so your licensed contractor, inspector or engineer can make decisions. We do not provide structural engineering or official building inspection reports.

Are your flights legal and insured?

Yes. Our drone is registered with CASA, we fly under CASA operating rules, and we carry public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

Do you need access to the property?

We need the property owner's or manager's consent and a safe take-off spot nearby. No one needs to be home, and no one goes on the roof.

Can you fly near Cairns Airport?

Some suburbs near the airport have airspace restrictions. We check every address before booking and will tell you straight away if a site needs special approval.

What about the wet season and storms?

We can't fly in rain or strong wind, but we fly as soon as conditions are safe. Contractor pack clients go to the top of our list after a storm.

How fast will I get the photos?

Photos are usually sent the same day. The full PDF report follows within 24 hours, or the same day with our express add-on.

Can you measure the roof?

We can give approximate roof areas from the imagery to help you quote. They are a guide only, so confirm critical measurements on site before ordering materials.

Can I use the photos in my own quotes?

Yes. The images are yours to use in quotes and reports to your customer. Ask us first if you'd like to use them in advertising.

Do you work with property managers across a whole portfolio?

Yes. Send us a list of addresses and we'll schedule them in batches by suburb, with one invoice and a report for each property.

How do I pay?

One-off jobs are invoiced after the report is delivered, payable within 7 days by bank transfer. Contractor pack clients are invoiced monthly.
